TEACH ME BABY SIGNS
Have you ever wondered what your baby is thinking? Or why your baby is crying? The Baby Signs® Program gives babies a way to “talk” with their parents, before they can talk. Babies can communicate about the world around them, long before they have mastered their verbal speaking skills!
MARY GRACE BASCO
Mary Grace Basco, earned a B.S. in Communication Disorders from Penn State University, an M.S. in Career and Human Resource Development from Rochester Institute of Technology and has been an RID certified sign language interpreter since 1986. With extensive experience working as an interpreter, Mary Grace respectfully teaches signs linguistically rooted in ASL. After successfully teaching her infant twins to sign, she became an Independent Certified Instructor for the Baby Signs® Program. It is rewarding for her to know that with each workshop and class she teaches, she is helping parents gain a better understanding of their baby and their baby’s development.

WOW, Mary Grace has amazing skills and knowledge as a communicator. I recommend her to anyone wanting to know more about baby signs! — Emily Weil
Mary Grace Basco not only knows how to communicate in signs with babies and toddlers, but is an excellent communicator with parents. Her ability to help parents teach their babies to sign basic needs is enhanced by her experience in doing this as a parent herself. She understands where parents (and their babies) are coming from. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to my psychotherapy clients with infants and toddlers.

fascinating performance watching your ‘balletic-like’ signing of a song today, Mary Grace. May the many mothers who need your help communicating with babies find you to teach them baby signs.

Mary Grace embodies her name, with the heart, soul and body of communication. If you are a hearing person, you can let your ears rest; if you are not, you get everything ears might get. Parents and babies can enhance the telepathic bond they already have, giving form to their communication and strengthening its wavelength. They say that learning a second language is easiest in childhood. With Mary Grace, you and your child can learn signing, and have that other communicating skill the rest of your lives.
There is another world where gifted and magic people communicate and unite with each other. Mary Grace is an not only a knowledgeable teacher for Baby Sign…she is an instrument beyond this world for us to understand, feel, and to connect to that “oneness silent” that really exists! Thank you Mary Grace.
Dear Mary Grace – I was moved by your “signing” and know that you will be successful in your dream to teach parents to sign and read baby signs! You are right where you are supposed to be on this day and in this time – proceed as feels right and you will be successful beyond your beliefs! I am so happy to know you! Ann Cooke
Mary Grace…Grace in motion. I was so moved by your signing presentation. I have always been drawn to the expressiveness of this language; now I get it up close and personal from a colleague. Thanks so much!
My experieince as a former signing career counselor with deaf people brought me in touch wiht many interpreters/teachers of sign language. Mary Grace is the best I have seen, on both coasts of the USA. Bravo, YOU are in your element with babies, parents and signing, and we all win. YOUR BEING A MOTHER BRINGS DEPTH TO YOUR WORK.
